What is semaglutide ODT?+
ODT means orally disintegrating tablet — compounded semaglutide in a tablet that dissolves under your tongue daily. A GLP-1 receptor agonist prepared by state-licensed US compounding pharmacies under Section 503A of the FD&C Act. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved.
How is the tablet different from the injection?+
Both are compounded semaglutide. The tablet dissolves under the tongue daily; the injection is weekly. The tablet form has not been studied head-to-head with the injection, and absorption differs by route. Your clinician will tell you if your response suggests switching.
Is it right for me?+
GLP-1 therapy is typically for adults with a qualifying BMI or a weight-related condition — your clinician decides from your history. A personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma, MEN 2, pancreatitis, or pregnancy are among the reasons it may not be appropriate.
